Hi everyone!

It has been some time since my website has been updated! But my season so far has been quite rushed. I have only been sliding for 3 weeks already this season, and the last time I have been on a sled was my final runs in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver! I have already raced in the first World Cup of the season in Igls, Austria.  I raced there only after a week of sliding at Altenberg in Germany, which had an international training week.  It was a hard competition, but i managed to qualify for the World Cup and managed to finish in 26th place, which after a year and nine months off a sled, I thought was quite well! however it was not near what my performances were. But I can now say that I will be continuing up to the next Olympics in Sochi, Russia!  So stay tuned for the next World Cups of the season, and years leading up to the 2014 Olympics! I am now currently in Whistler, Canada for the next World Cup, and just finished my first training on the track this morning! Also, I have just started a twitter account @FrozenRosen, so you could also get some more up to date info if you have twitter! But I will keep everyone posted, so wish me luck and give some updates soon! Thank you for all of the support!!!

Hello Everyone!

After finishing 16th in February in Whistler, I returned home to start training for another season. Unfortunately, there are no more funds from Great Britain and also my biggest sponsors (my parents!). My luge career is on hold for now, but the whole experience has been invaluable, and I would like to thank everyone who has made it possible for me - every step (and slide) of the way.

I would love to continue my luge career, as I felt I was on track for a top 10 finish before the track was shortened right before the Olympics due to Nodar's tragic accident. However, I was informed that I would not be competing based on the severity of my injuries back in October 2009, and so to have finished in the top 50% in the Olympics - was still all good.

Since I had last updated my site there has been a lot of news! Six weeks ago during training in Whistler, Canada I had a crash while training.  I dislocated my hip and due to my hip being out of the socket for about 2 hours, it bruised and stretched a major nerve down my leg! Also, in the process I tore a muscle and partially tore another.  From the trauma to the nerve I actually lost majority of feeling and movement from the knee to my foot.  Thanks to our amazing staff and doctors at Bisham Abbey, I have made almost a full recovery! I will get back onto the ice next week and see how the leg will perform back on the sled! I still do not have full control over my foot because of the nerve damage but it has improved significantly since the crash. I am very much so looking forward to getting back onto the sled once again!

Also, on a different note, I was sponsored from a person who is truly an inspiration to me and many others! Russ Malkin, who founded Big Earth Production Company which made great documentaries traveling across the globe such as Long Way Round, and Long Way Down, has greatly helped me in order to buy a new state-of-the-art sled! I will be sliding on the sled next week and am very much so looking forward to sliding on it! He came to meet me yesterday at Bisham Abbey, and it was truly an honour to meet him and I will be looking forward for him to make it out to a World Cup race and ultimately the Olympics Winter Games in Vancouver!! As of today there are 90 days until the Olympics! Thank You Russ for all your help!!

February 14th 2009 - Hello everyone, I am in Calgary. Canada and just finished 6th in the World Cup Race yesterday. It felt fantastic to come from behind and to have finished in my season's best result yet. I have qualified for the Vancouver Winter 2010 Olympics, and I am now off to Whistler, British Columbia for the final World Cup Race of the season. This will be exciting as it will be the first race on the new track for all nations. I will keep you updated!!

The competition is 'out there' in droves for the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler, Vancouver. This season will end in Whistler where we (the athletes) will have the opportunity to race on the new and fastest luge run to-date. There were many crashes and injuries in the training camp in November '08.. It will be interesting to see what transpires in February '09....
